Skool News #77: Custom Ads, Growth Tab and What Is Still Coming

Skool News #77 announces 200,000+ custom ads this week, a Growth tab and faster creative updates. See what is live, planned and unverified.

Skool News #77 announces a Growth tab for partnership-ad connections, plans to launch more than 200,000 custom ad creatives during the episode's week, and describes faster updates when a community changes its packaging. The progress display, Live Calls V2 and several other roadmap items are still coming. These are announcements, not proof every account has received every feature.

Sam Ovens shared the original Skoolers post, titled "Skool News #77 - 200,000 Ads Going Live This Week!" We inspected it authenticated on 7 October 2026; it displayed 9h (edited). The linked YouTube episode displayed a publication date of 7 October 2026 and the title "200,000+ Ads Promoting You | Skool News #77". The native video ID is Jten31_Lieg.

What is live, planned or only on the roadmap?

The presenters describe the Growth tab and partnership connection as live functionality, with some communities already using the system. They distinguish that from a forthcoming level-progress display and a large creative rollout planned for this week. A platform-wide target is not a guarantee of spend, eligibility or paid members for your particular group.

Item Episode position What an owner should infer
Growth tab and social connections Described as live at 0:21 to 1:36 Inspect your own settings and eligibility
Visible level and next actions Coming soon at 2:04 to 2:30 Do not assume a progress screen exists yet
200,000+ custom creatives This-week plan at 4:52 to 5:16 Not 200,000 verified active campaigns
Faster packaging refresh Presenter claim at 7:16 to 8:16 Not a contractual one-hour service guarantee
Live Calls V2 and payment additions In progress from 9:35 Not features we tested or confirmed released

The table summarizes release status rather than ranking benefits. Earlier Skool News #76 explained the four levels; #77 matters because it updates the operational rollout and the creative-production workflow. It is not a new evergreen guide with the same intent.

How do the custom ads use your community packaging?

The system is described as using the cover and About-page context to produce different angles and formats. At 3:11 to 3:38, level two is described as roughly ten custom creatives; later levels add dedicated partnership campaigns and video. At 8:18 to 9:10, the presenters stress that strong source packaging is still needed: the system cannot invent a coherent brand from nothing.

The practical implication is to check the inputs before chasing the creative count. Can a stranger understand the audience, the offer and the next step from your cover and opening copy? Does the price shown in the offer match what a prospect can actually buy? Our About-page guide addresses that decision sequence.

At 7:16 to 8:16, the presenters say changes to price or branding can update ads within about an hour under the new system. That is their operational claim. We did not change an owner's live offer, inspect every generated ad or measure refresh latency. Old ads, platform review and account-specific availability still need direct checking before declaring a mismatch solved.

What does the level-two example actually require?

At 6:37 to 6:55, the demonstrated criteria mention at least 100 About-page clicks in the last 30 days and at least one paid signup in that period. The word paid matters: an inquiry, free join or trial start should not silently be counted as a proven paid conversion. Verify the current criteria in your own Growth tab because rollout rules can change.

Qualification also should not be confused with guaranteed distribution. Ten creatives are ten creative variants, not ten paying members. The Growth Boost results review explains why creator-reported outcomes and traffic attribution require their own evidence. Measure qualified visits, paid conversions and subsequent member value separately.

What else is coming, and what remains uncertain?

Live Calls V2 is described as being tested internally, with improvements intended for low-bandwidth use, screen sharing and chat. This is not an independent comparison with Google Meet or Zoom. The episode also discusses payment-method additions, global search, calendar improvements, currencies and native apps as work in progress or up next, without a verified shipping date for each.

The payment discussion names PayPal and Pix. Do not turn that roadmap mention into a current checkout instruction. Likewise, a secret project is not evidence for a specific unannounced feature. The joking reference to V3 near the end is not a release commitment.

The closing discussion references Auli Takala's original organic-growth post. Its message is that distribution should accelerate a functioning community rather than replace the owner's work. Auli's member-growth figures are creator claims, not an experiment proving a universal acquisition method. That distinction also connects with the creator-burnout discussion in News #75.

What should you do after watching?

Treat this as a packaging and measurement checkpoint. Record your current offer, cover and About page; check the Growth settings actually visible to you; and keep a dated record of changes. Compare conversion signals over a useful period instead of changing the entire offer hourly and losing any meaningful baseline. That is our analysis, not a promised Skool optimization formula.

If you are starting from scratch, the community-starting guide is the earlier step. Define what a new member can accomplish before optimizing a distribution system. More polished advertising does not by itself establish a valuable membership.

The takeaway: faster creative production makes your real offer more important, not less. Confirm what has shipped, keep the offer consistent, and measure paid member value rather than headline ad volume.
