Global Visa Gateway Community followed with 3,401 and no price shown, then Move to Italy and Thrive with 1,980 at $9/mo. Those top three show the split: earning trips, or moving abroad for good.

Which Skool travel communities have the most members?

Reward travel and relocation rooms take the top three places, and a ski club takes fourth. We dropped 1 room of the 30, a hub for people already operating one particular travel business rather than a community you would join to travel. The prices are low: no room here displays more than $39 a month.

What kinds of travel do these rooms cover?

Four groups show up, and they want different things from you.

Points and miles. 5 rooms and 4,319 members, from The Miles Academy down to Miles Beyond Borders Club. Monthly prices run from $14 to $25.

Moving abroad. Italy alone has 4 rooms, covering visas, citizenship paperwork, emotional support and slow travel.

Selling travel. Beach Money Blueprint, Travel Like An Insider, Travel Agent Social Club and Paid To Travel Club are about earning from travel rather than taking trips. If you just want a holiday, skip these.

Lifestyle clubs. The Solo Skiers Club, Cruise Life Crew, The Vanlife Network, Vanlife and Beyond and Getaway Insiders are built around a way of travelling and the people who share it. Two men's clubs, Order of Explorers and PassportBoys - The Brotherhood, belong here too.

Why do so few travel rooms have reviews?

Only 13 of the 29 rooms show any review, and Travel Agent Social Club leads with just 11. The two largest rooms, The Miles Academy and Global Visa Gateway Community, display none, despite holding thousands of members. So on this page you cannot lean on ratings at all. The Solo Skiers Club, Cruise Life Crew and Move to Italy and Thrive show none either. No room here reached the Skool leaderboard's top 100 either.

What should you check before paying for a travel community?

The questions change with the group, since a points strategy and a visa have very different downsides.

1. Points rooms: can you afford the cards? Much of this relies on credit cards. The Points & Miles Experience names credit card points outright. If you carry a balance, interest can quickly outweigh the reward.
2. Visa rooms: who is qualified? Immigration rules change, and a community post is not legal advice. Confirm rules with the consulate or a licensed immigration lawyer before you act or pay fees.
3. Citizenship paperwork: how much is done for you? Ask whether Your Italian Citizenship Tutor and rooms like it check your documents or only explain the process.
4. Selling travel: what does joining commit you to? Ask rooms like Beach Money Blueprint and Travel Like An Insider about host agency fees, licences and any recruiting involved, and ask what a typical member earns.
5. Local meetups: are they real and near you? Da Nang Social Club and Travel Agent Social Club promise real-world meets. Ask when and where the last one was.
