Global fast payouts: the headline change

Skool built a second payout system that connects your local regional bank account directly, settles in your local currency, and charges no additional fee for currency conversion. It is live for Colombia, India, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Costa Rica, and Skool's help centre states that more regions are added every week.

The important detail is that this is not a tweak to the old flow. Skool's original payout rail runs through a Stripe Express connection and supports roughly 110 countries, but India and Brazil were not on that list. Two of the largest creator populations on earth were effectively locked out of getting paid. The new system is how they get in.

Note the small discrepancy worth knowing about: the announcement post names seven countries, while Skool's help centre article on the new payout system lists eight and includes Colombia. If you are in Colombia, check your settings rather than assuming you were left out.

Old payout system vs new payout system

The two systems now run side by side, and which one you get depends on where your bank account is. This is the practical difference.

Reviews are rolling out to every group

Skool ran an A/B test of communities with reviews against communities without them, reviews won, and the feature now rolls out to all groups from now until the end of August. If your about page does not show reviews yet, it will shortly, and you do not have to do anything to switch it on.

This matters more than a normal feature release because reviews change what a cold visitor sees at the exact moment they decide to pay. The practical takeaway for owners is that the review count on your page is about to become a visible competitive number, in the same way member count already is. Communities that ask for reviews in the first month will look different from communities that do not.

Seven languages, and why it is a conversion update

Skool's interface now renders in Chinese, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, German, French and Portuguese. That covers the about page, the signup form and the checkout, which are the three screens where money is actually made.

What to actually do this week

If you are in one of the eight new payout regions, go to SETTINGS then Payouts and add a payout method now. The KYC check needs a camera and takes a few minutes, and doing it before you have revenue sitting in the balance is strictly easier than doing it after.

If you already have members, start asking for reviews. The rollout finishes at the end of August, and an about page that shows reviews with long paying tenure will out-convert an identical page with none.

If you sell to a non-English audience, re-read your about page copy knowing the interface around it now speaks their language. The chrome is localised, but your own words are not, and that mismatch is now the visible weak point.
