Cold Calling Community Skool: Melvin's 42-Day Promise
Cold Calling Community charges $68/month to teach Pay Per Appointment agencies, with a 42-day money-back promise. What the offer and the math show.

Cold Calling Community bets its pitch on a deadline rather than a method, with an owner known as Melvin promising $68-a-month members a first Pay Per Appointment client in 42 days or "every dollar spent back to you", which on a monthly plan means two charges totalling about $136 at stake.
The offer is unusually precise, and that makes it easy to examine. Melvin's agency figures below are his own claims.
The numbers, 6 November 2026
- $68/month displayed price
- 1,494 members, 2 admins
- 42 days to a first paying client or money back, as stated
- 5.0 from 21 reviews
- 12 courses, 206 modules, 1,323 posts
- Live every weekday at 9am EST, as stated
- Leaderboard: not in the top 100 we read
What is the Pay Per Appointment model?
Pay Per Appointment means an agency gets paid for each booked appointment rather than a flat retainer, and this room teaches you to win those clients by phone, with the page stating "No Ad Spend needed". Selling appointments to contractors is the specific version taught here, in four steps.
- Build a Pay Per Appointment offer
- Find leads that pick up
- Book calls with contractors
- Close your first client
The model is a narrow one, and the page tells you to copy it, with the line "Just copy and paste my exact model". The appeal for a beginner is that the service, the buyer and the sales channel are all decided already.
Who is Melvin?
He presents himself as a former sales rep who still runs the business he teaches, which is the core of his credibility.
These are the page's own claims, and we have not verified them:
| Claim | Figure stated |
|---|---|
| Years selling digital marketing | 12+ |
| Generated for roofing companies | $102M+ |
| His agency in the last 30 days | $258K+ |
The claim that he still runs the agency is what matters, because the description sells "same-day sales coaching from someone who's currently running" an agency. A buyer can test that: join the daily call and see whether the examples are recent.
Does the 42-day promise hold up as an offer?
As an offer, it is strong because it is short, specific and tied to a real outcome: a paying client, not a certificate. The promise reads "Land your first paying client in 42 days or get every dollar spent back".
Forty-two days covers two monthly charges, so the maximum refund on a monthly plan is about $136. That means the guarantee is cheap for the owner to offer and cheap for a buyer to believe. The risk for the buyer is really time, not money.
Ask three things first. What counts as a paying client? What must you complete to claim? And does the promise apply to the annual sale? Check the terms against our Skool refund policy guide, since Skool's rules and an owner's promise are different things.
What does the leaderboard absence tell us?
It suggests most members aren't paying the full $68, because 1,494 members at that price would be $101,592 a month, enough for about 36th on the leaderboard, yet the room is not in the top 100 we read. The floor that day was $52,600, so the average must sit under about $35.21 a member if the room's revenue is fully counted there.
The page itself offers one explanation. A Black Friday sale advertises "88% off the annual" with "10+ months free", ending 28 November. If that discount applies to twelve payments of $68, or $816, an annual plan would be about $98, or $8.16 a month. The page does not state the annual price, so that is our arithmetic, not a quoted price. Confirm the price at checkout.
What do you get for $68?
You get daily practice more than you get information, with a live call every weekday. That is about 22 calls a month, or roughly $3 a call at the full price, covering role plays, objection handling and call reviews.
The closing call to action is a clever detail too, inviting readers to "Join tomorrow's huddle with my sales team". It sells a next step rather than a purchase. See how others approach this in our sales community guide, or compare Matt Ryder's sales room, which listed 1,629 members at $69.
The builder lesson: a tight promise beats a big one. A first client in 42 days names the buyer's next milestone, and a daily live call gives people a place to work toward it. Promise what your format can actually help with, and price the refund risk first.
Who should skip it?
Skip it if you don't want to pick up the phone daily or don't want to sell to contractors, because the model depends on both. It is built for people starting an agency, not those looking for a sales job. Anyone with a settled agency and a working offer may find the first-client focus too basic.
