Rebecca Bogart Piano: Inside Her $12 Skool Community

Piano with Rebecca B is Rebecca Bogart's Skool room for adult classical pianists: 365 members, $12 a month, 7 admins and a 7 day free trial.

Piano with Rebecca B is Rebecca Bogart's Skool community for intermediate and adult classical pianists, priced at $12 a month with a 7 day free trial, holding 365 members and ranked 38 in the Skool Games Music top 50. It is the only room in our Music set whose central promise is physical rather than musical: play with ease, not tension.

That framing is why the community exists at a different price and a different depth from the beginner rooms around it. Its buyer can already play. What they cannot do is play for an hour without their forearms seizing up, or perform without their hands betraying them, and no amount of additional repertoire fixes either.

Who is Rebecca Bogart?

Rebecca Bogart runs the community as @rebecca-bogart-8509 and the about page lists four credentials in four lines: 50 years teaching, Carnegie Hall performer, 1.4 million pianists watching her YouTube, and a former student who is now a Yale professor and has played on NPR's From the Top.

Those are the page's claims and we have not independently verified them, but the selection is worth studying. Three of the four are about her, and the fourth is about somebody she taught. In a field where every teacher can point at a performance history, the outcome of a student is the harder claim to make and the more relevant one to a buyer choosing an instructor rather than a recital.

Founder of Piano with Rebecca B, a 365-member Skool community for intermediate and adult classical pianists at $12 a month with a 7 day free trial. Her about page states 50 years of teaching, a Carnegie Hall performance, a YouTube audience of 1.4 million pianists, and a former student who is now a Yale professor and has played on NPR's From the Top. She runs the community with six other admins and gives direct feedback on members' playing inside the room.

How Piano with Rebecca B sells

It leads with the body. The three promises at the top of the page are learn faster, play with ease not tension, and enjoy practising and performing, and the first named deliverable is called the Pianist's Body Blueprint: move easier, sound better.

Almost no other music community in our corpus sells physical technique as the headline. The reason it works here is that the audience is defined as intermediate and adult, and both halves of that matter. An intermediate player has already accumulated habits. An adult one has accumulated them for years, often alongside a desk job, and the thing standing between them and progress is frequently tension rather than ignorance.

The second deliverable does the opposite job. The 28 Day Piano Journey promises to compress into weeks what used to take months, which is the speed claim the page needs to sit alongside the ease claim. Ease alone sounds like therapy. Ease plus a 28-day container sounds like a plan.

Provenance: the text above is Rebecca Bogart's public about page as published. Emoji were removed, curly quotation marks and apostrophes straightened, the long dashes before testimonial attributions replaced, and the ampersand written out. The teaching span, the Carnegie Hall performance, the YouTube figure, the former student's position and all three testimonials are the page's own claims and we have not verified any of them. Testimonials describe individual experiences and are not a typical result. Counts, price, staffing, traffic and rank were read once, on 29 August 2026, and the Music board re-orders every week.

1,708 posts against 365 members

That is roughly 4.7 posts for every current member against a room that opened in March 2025, the second-highest posts-per-member figure in our Music set behind Pro Gig Academy Plus. Worship Guitar Mastery runs 540 posts against 946 members, about one for every two.

The usual caveat applies and is worth restating, because it is the single most misread number on any Skool about page. Posts accumulate over the room's whole life while the member count is measured today, so this is not a rate of anything. What it does indicate is a room where discussion is the product rather than a side effect, which is consistent with an offer built on posting your playing and receiving feedback.

Music room Members Posts Posts per member
Piano with Rebecca B 365 1,708 About 4.7
Pro Gig Academy (Plus) 104 2,231 About 21
No Theory Club 8,824 1,364 About 0.2
Worship Guitar Mastery 946 540 About 0.6

Read the column downward and it separates the two business models in Music cleanly. The rooms at the top sell participation and charge for access to a person. The rooms at the bottom sell a library and charge for access to material. Neither is better, but they need completely different staffing, and the next section is where that shows.

Seven admins for 365 members

About one admin per 52 members is a rich ratio for a $12 room, though it does not approach the roughly one per 17 that Pocket Singers Elite and The Sync Alliance run higher up the same board. What makes it notable is the price it is being carried at.

At $12 a month, 365 members produce a modest recurring figure, and seven people are drawing on it or donating to it. That is only sustainable in one of two ways: the admins are members who moderate rather than staff who are paid, or the room is a front end for something not visible on the about page. Community rooms built around posting your own playing tend toward the first, because responding to recordings is a thing advanced members enjoy doing and a thing that scales the product without scaling the founder.

The feedback bottleneck: "Post your playing, get feedback from me" is the line that justifies $12 over $6. It is also the line that cannot survive growth without either more admins or a quieter founder. Seven admins on 365 members is what preparing for that looks like.

Rank 38 on 4,042 visitors

Piano with Rebecca B draws more traffic than most rooms above it on the Music board, which is the same pattern we found at Worship Guitar Mastery. Traffic and rank measure different things, because the Skool Games board orders rooms by revenue rather than by attention.

The traffic source is not hard to guess. A YouTube audience described on the page as 1.4 million pianists is a far larger funnel than 365 paying members implies, and the branded search cluster around her name, which includes reviews, teacher and studio variants, confirms an audience that arrives already knowing who she is. That is the profile of a room converting a small percentage of a large free audience, and there is nothing wrong with it: a low conversion rate on a large audience is a business, whereas a high conversion rate on no audience is not.

The funnel, step by step

Adult pianists find Rebecca Bogart on YouTube or by name, meet an about page that disqualifies beginners in its first line, take a 7 day trial and convert into a $12 membership built on feedback.

The 28 Day Piano Journey is the piece most owners would leave out and should not. A 7 day trial gives somebody a week to decide, and a 28-day programme gives them a reason to still be there in month two. Pairing a short trial with a slightly longer first container is one of the more reliable retention structures we see, and it is covered further in our free trial explainer.

The formula you can copy

Disqualify in the first line. "For intermediate and adult classical pianists" throws away most of the market deliberately, and everything after it can then assume competence instead of reassuring the reader. Pages that try to serve beginners and intermediates at once end up convincing neither, and the general argument is in how to write a Skool about page.

Sell the obstacle the buyer has not named. Tension is not what an adult pianist searches for, but it is frequently what is stopping them, and a page that names it produces the recognition that a list of repertoire never will. Finding that obstacle is the real work in how to niche down your Skool community.

And put a student's outcome in the credentials. Four credentials, three about the teacher and one about a student, and the one about the student is the one a buyer cannot get anywhere else. More on how the top pages structure proof in the top 100 Skool about pages formula.

Frequently asked questions

What is Piano with Rebecca B?

Piano with Rebecca B is Rebecca Bogart's Skool community for intermediate and adult classical pianists. It has 365 members, costs $12 a month after a 7 day free trial, and includes 11 courses with 30 or more hours of lessons, a Pianist's Body Blueprint on physical technique, a 28 Day Piano Journey, weekly live question sessions, twice-monthly live performance workshops and direct feedback on members' recordings. It ranks 38 in the Skool Games Music top 50 and carries 1,708 posts since March 2025.

How much does Piano with Rebecca B cost?

Twelve dollars a month, after a 7 day free trial that you can cancel without paying. That is the mid-range for a paid Music community on Skool: above Worship Guitar Mastery at $6 and No Theory Club at $9, and far below Pro Gig Academy Plus at $125. Check the community's live about page for the current price rather than any figure quoted elsewhere.

Who is Rebecca Bogart?

Rebecca Bogart is a piano teacher who runs Piano with Rebecca B on Skool. Her about page states 50 years of teaching, a performance at Carnegie Hall, a YouTube audience of 1.4 million pianists, and a former student who is now a Yale professor and has played on NPR's From the Top. Those are her page's claims rather than facts we have verified independently. She teaches inside the community and gives feedback on members' posted recordings.

How do you stop tension when playing piano?

The advice experienced teachers converge on is to work on the source rather than the hands: sitting height and distance so the forearms stay level, movement initiated from the arm rather than gripped from the fingers, and regular release of the hand between phrases instead of holding a shape. Tension is usually a symptom of playing at a tempo the body has not earned yet, so slowing a passage until it can be played loosely, then rebuilding speed, tends to fix more than any single exercise. Persistent pain is a matter for a medical professional rather than a teacher.

Are online piano lessons good for adults?

They suit adults better than they suit children, for the practical reason that adults can self-direct and schedule. What online formats lose is the physical correction a teacher gives in the room, which matters most for exactly the technique and tension issues this community targets. Communities that ask members to post video of their playing exist to recover part of that, and it is a reasonable middle ground between a video course, which corrects nothing, and weekly in-person lessons, which cost several times more.

Is a $12 piano community worth it?

Against private tuition it is inexpensive: a single one-hour lesson typically costs several times a month of this. Against a video course it is more expensive, and the difference you are paying for is the feedback and the live sessions rather than the material. The useful test during the 7 day trial is whether you actually post a recording, because everything that justifies the price over a library sits on the other side of that.
