Oracle Connections Skool Review: A Free Room Earning $5,584
Oracle Connections, Katya McEwen's free Skool community for oracle card readers, earns $5,584.25 a month from a $122 premium tier. Full breakdown.

Oracle Connections is a free Skool community for oracle card readers, healers and spiritual-business owners, and on 4 September 2026 it carried $5,584.25 in monthly recurring revenue. Nobody pays to walk in. The revenue comes from a Premium tier priced at $122 a month or $625 a year, sold to a slice of a 4,698 member roster that joined for nothing.
That structure makes it the most instructive room on Skool's Spirituality board this week, and it also makes it the one where the about page and the live leaderboard disagree most sharply. We report both below.
Oracle Connections, read 4 September 2026
- Created 21 November 2025, so 287 days old when we read it
- 4,698 members, 11 admins, about 1 admin per 427 members
- Roughly 16.4 joins per day since launch
- 3,243 posts, or 0.69 per member
- 34 courses across 261 modules
- Join price on the button: Free
- Premium listed at $122/month or $625/year
- 5.0 from 15 reviews, a review from 0.32% of the roster
- Skool Games: MRR $5,584.25, 30 day change minus $2,010.42
- Listed traffic 2,486. Rank 46 in Spirituality, 1,262 globally
- Revenue per member $1.19, which is what a free front door does to that ratio
Who is Katya McEwen?
Katya McEwen is the Skool account that owns and runs Oracle Connections, listed under the handle katya-mcewen. Her Skool bio describes a "Mini-Project Magic" method, credits her with 6,000+ members and $10K+ MRR, and lists her as an intuitive business coach and certified hypnotherapist working in oracle card deck design, printing and sales.

What does the about page say?
It opens by naming a feeling rather than a product, spends its middle third on proof, and only then mentions money. Below is that copy as published, with emoji replaced by plain markers, curly punctuation straightened and the embedded link flattened to plain text, which is this site's house style. The member count, ranking, MRR and growth claims in the copy above are the community's own published figures and are reproduced as written. Our independently read figures, from Skool's about page and public leaderboard on 4 September 2026, are different and are set out in the next section. The workshop host names are as listed by the community. Nothing here is financial or business advice.
Why do the about page and the leaderboard disagree?
Because the copy was written at a different moment and has not been updated. The page claims 6,000+ members, "#6 Skool Games" and "$8K MRR". The live readings on 4 September 2026 are 4,698 members, rank 46 in Spirituality and 1,262 globally, and $5,584.25 in monthly recurring revenue.
None of that means the copy was ever false. Member counters fall when inactive accounts are removed, leaderboard ranks move weekly, and this room's own thirty-day change is minus $2,010.42, which implies it read roughly $7,594.67 a month ago. An "$8K MRR" line written in the spring is simply a stale line now.
| Claim on the about page | Live reading, 4 Sep 2026 | Gap |
|---|---|---|
| 6,000+ members | 4,698 members | About 22% lower |
| #6 Skool Games | 46th in Spirituality, 1,262 overall | Not comparable, and far lower |
| $8K MRR | $5,584.25 MRR | About $2,416 lower |
| Top 1% on Skool | Ranked inside the top 1,300 rooms | Plausible, not verifiable from public data |
The builder lesson is unglamorous and expensive: a proof line is a perishable asset. Anyone who joins today and then reads the leaderboard finds the numbers do not match, which costs more trust than the original claim ever bought. If you print figures on your page, diarise them. Our guide to ranking on Skool Discovery covers which of these numbers Skool actually surfaces to browsers.
The revenue-per-member trap: $5,584.25 across 4,698 members reads as $1.19 each, which looks catastrophic next to a $122 price and is meaningless. In a free room the member counter measures reach, not customers. Divide the revenue by the price instead: $5,584.25 at $122 a month is roughly 46 paying members, or about 1% of the roster, before you account for anyone on the $625 annual plan. That 1% is the number to benchmark against, and it is the number a free front door is designed to produce.
How does the free front door actually pay?
It pays by converting reach into a small, high-priced paid tier. The room gives away entry, the community itself and the monthly workshops, then sells Premium at $122 a month to the fraction who want the conversion training and the replays. Roughly 46 paying members at $122 carry the whole $5,584.25.
The annual option is the aggressive part. $625 a year against $122 a month is 5.12 months of payment for twelve months of access, a 57.3% discount, which is the steepest annual discount we have recorded on the Spirituality board. Steep annual pricing pulls cash forward and locks retention, at the cost of monthly revenue, and a room whose thirty-day change is minus $2,010.42 is exactly the kind of room where that trade shows up on the leaderboard. We work through the mechanics in Skool membership tiers and pricing structures.
The traffic figure supports the model. Oracle Connections lists 2,486 traffic against 4,698 members, well above the rooms ranked around it, because a free join button converts browsers at a rate a $49 button never will. What it does not do is convert them into revenue by itself.
What the oracle card niche can take from this
Sell the network, not the knowledge. Everything a deck creator needs to know about printing, publishing and selling a deck already exists in videos. What does not exist is a room where 4,698 people in the same niche are allowed to pitch each other. "Promotions allowed" is the differentiator, and it costs the founder nothing to supply.
Give away the room, charge for the conversion. The free tier delivers belonging and introductions. Premium delivers the commercial training. That split lets the page open with feeling and close with a price without the two fighting each other.
Use dated free events as the call to action. A free room has no price to create urgency, so this page manufactures it with a start date and an access cutoff. It is the only deadline available when the join button says Free.
Date your proof. The single biggest flaw on this page is fixable in ninety seconds. If you are going to publish a member count and an MRR figure, either update them monthly or write them as "as of" a date. For what the public board actually reports, see the Skool MRR leaderboard explained.
Frequently asked questions
What is Oracle Connections on Skool?
It is a free Skool community founded by Katya McEwen for oracle card readers, deck creators, healers and spiritual-business owners. It had 4,698 members and 11 admins on 4 September 2026, holds 34 courses across 261 modules, and runs monthly guest workshops. Members are permitted to promote their own offers inside the room.
How much does Oracle Connections cost?
Joining is free. The about page lists a Premium tier at $122 a month or $625 a year, which works out at about $52.08 a month if you keep the annual plan for the full twelve months. Both figures were displayed on 4 September 2026.
How much does Oracle Connections earn?
$5,584.25 in monthly recurring revenue according to Skool's public leaderboard on 4 September 2026, ranking 46th in Spirituality and 1,262nd overall. Its thirty-day change was minus $2,010.42, which implies a reading near $7,594.67 the previous month.
Why does its about page say $8K MRR when the leaderboard says $5,584?
Because the copy has not been updated since it was written. Leaderboard revenue moves every month and this room's own thirty-day change is minus $2,010.42. The claim is stale rather than fabricated, but a reader who checks the public board will find the gap.
Can you make money selling oracle card decks through a community like this?
The community itself does not sell decks. It sells access to other people who do, plus a paid tier covering conversion for readers and guides. Whether that translates into deck sales depends entirely on your own offer and audience, and nothing on the page guarantees an outcome.
Is a free Skool community worth running instead of a paid one?
It depends on whether you have something to sell behind it. A free room maximises reach and traffic and produces a revenue-per-member figure that looks terrible, as this one's $1.19 shows. It only earns if a small percentage upgrade to something priced high enough to carry the rest. Our guide to starting a Skool community covers choosing between the two models before you open the doors.
