On Skool, you earn one point every time another member likes your post, comment, or reply, and you level up automatically as those points add up. There are nine levels, and each one unlocks at a fixed number of points. Levels are tied to a single community, so your level in one group does not carry over to another. Here is exactly how it works, and how to use it.

How you earn points
Points come from one thing: likes. When another member likes your post, comment, or reply, you get one point. One like equals one point for whoever wrote it. There is no other way to earn points, which keeps the system simple and hard to game.
How levels work
Once your points pass a threshold, you level up automatically. Your level shows as a number in front of your name and on your profile, so your progress is visible to the whole community.
One thing to know: levels are per community. If you are level 3 in one group and join another, you start again at level 1, exactly like every other new member. Your points and level do not transfer.
How to check your level and the leaderboard
Find your level
Look at the number in front of any member's name, or open their profile. That number is their current level in this community.
Open the Leaderboard
Go to the Leaderboard tab inside the community. There you can see how your level stacks up against other members, and preview the custom level names the admin has set.
See what unlocks at each level
Admins can lock courses so they only open at a certain level. The leaderboard shows which courses unlock where, which is a strong reason to stay active and keep earning points.
Why this matters if you run a community: gamification is not decoration. Locking a valuable course at level 3 or 4 gives new members a clear reason to post, comment, and engage in their first week, which is exactly when most communities lose people.
