How Much Do Relationship Coaches Make? 50 Real Numbers
We measured all 50 top relationship and dating coaching communities on Skool. Median $4,196.75 a month, top room $60,453.00. Read 6 September 2026.
The fifty highest earning relationship and dating coaching communities on Skool collected $374,269.92 between them in the month to 6 September 2026, which is a run rate of $4,491,239 a year if nothing on the board changes. The median room made $4,196.75 a month and the mean made $7,485.40. The largest made $60,453.00 and the fiftieth made $1,682.92, a spread of 35.9 times.
Those are gross community revenues rather than personal incomes, and the distinction matters enormously. But they are measured rather than surveyed, they cover a complete top fifty rather than a self selecting sample, and they were all read on the same day.
Where do these numbers come from?
Skool publishes a public leaderboard, the Skool Games, that ranks communities by monthly recurring revenue and shows the figure. We pulled every row of the Relationships category top fifty on 6 September 2026, along with each room's thirty day change, listed traffic and global rank, and we read three of the individual about pages the same day for prices, member counts and admin counts.
This is unusual data. Almost every published answer to this question is a salary survey, a job board average or a coaching school's marketing page, all of which rely on people reporting their own earnings. A leaderboard reports the platform's own billing. Nobody on it chose to be measured.
The limits are real and we will state them once, clearly. These figures are gross recurring subscription revenue for a community, before Skool's transaction fee and monthly platform charge, before payment processing declines and refunds, before tax, before advertising, and before paying any of the admins listed on the room. They also exclude everything a coach earns outside the community, which for most people in this field is the larger number: one to one clients, courses sold elsewhere, retreats, speaking and affiliate income.

What does a typical relationship coach make?
On this evidence, a community that reaches the top fifty of its category makes about $4,200 a month gross, and half of them make less than that. The mean of $7,485.40 is nearly eighty percent higher than the median, which is the signature of a distribution dragged upward by a handful of outliers rather than a normal spread.
The concentration is the story. Three rooms take 28.1% of all the money on the board and ten rooms take 54.9%, so the top fifth of a top fifty earns more than the other four fifths combined. Anyone reasoning from the leader's $60,453.00 to their own prospects is reasoning from the single most unrepresentative row in the dataset.
Read from the other end instead. The fiftieth room on the board, which is by definition already in the top fifty of an entire Skool category, collects $1,682.92 a month before any costs at all. That is the realistic shape of the opportunity, and it is a supplementary income rather than a salary.
| Monthly recurring revenue band | Rooms in the top 50 | Share of the 50 |
|---|---|---|
| $20,000 and above | 3 | 6% |
| $10,000 to $19,999 | 8 | 16% |
| $5,000 to $9,999 | 11 | 22% |
| $3,000 to $4,999 | 9 | 18% |
| Under $3,000 | 19 | 38% |

How much do relationship coaches charge?
The three Relationships rooms we read individually on 6 September 2026 published $19, $27 and $35 a month. We did not read the other forty seven prices on the board, so we cannot describe its price distribution, only that these three sit far below one to one relationship coaching, which is commonly sold as a package running into thousands.
The published price is also not what gets collected, and the direction of the error goes both ways. Social Skills Decoded shows $19 and collects $46.28 per member, because it runs three tiers and Skool publishes only the cheapest. BetterMan Academy shows $27 and collects $31.79, which can only be produced by seats paying above the current rate, most plausibly annual or legacy pricing. The Comeback shows $35 and collects $32.00, which is consistent with unpaid or lapsed seats on the roster and cannot distinguish between them.
| Room, read 6 September 2026 | Price shown | Revenue per member | Share of shown price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Social Skills Decoded | $19 | $46.28 | 243.6% |
| The Comeback | $35 | $32.00 | 91.4% |
| BetterMan Academy | $27 | $31.79 | 117.7% |
A listed price tells you about the door, not the till. The cheapest published price on this table produced the highest revenue per member, because it is the entry tier of three. Our breakdown of Social Skills Decoded works through that gap in full, and Skool membership tiers covers how the mechanic is configured.
Is a community a better business than one to one coaching?
It is a different business with a different failure mode, and the numbers on this board show both sides. A community sells the same delivery to many people at once, so revenue is not capped by the coach's calendar, and $60,453.00 a month is well beyond what almost anyone reaches selling hours. That is the case for it.
The cost is that the promise has to survive scale. Of the three Relationships rooms we read, the one collecting the most per member also carried the most admins, and its headline deliverable is a live appointment rather than a recording. Three rooms is not a pattern, but the mechanism behind it is not in doubt: appointments do not get cheaper as members arrive, and the staffing has to follow the promise.
And the churn is invisible from outside, which is the honest limit of every figure on this page. A leaderboard shows revenue this month; it says nothing about how long the average member stays, and in a field where the buyer's problem is acute and episodic, retention is the number that decides whether the business is real. Thirty one of these fifty rooms grew over the last thirty days and eighteen shrank, which is the closest thing to a churn signal the public data offers.
How do you become a relationship coach?
There is no licence, no register and no qualification requirement anywhere for relationship or dating coaching, which is the single most important fact about the field and the reason the earnings spread is so wide. Certification programmes exist and several are well regarded, but none of them is legally required and none of them is checked by the platforms these coaches sell on.
What the top of this board actually shows is that credentials are substituted for rather than absent. One founder leads with a licensed nursing registration and eighteen years of lived experience. Another leads with a platform award and a stated fifteen years and 750 clients. A third leads with no credential on the about page at all, and carries a four word profile bio and 4.2k followers behind it. What the first two have in common is something dated or externally issued near the top of the page, because the buyer cannot check a coaching qualification.
The practical route these rooms took is consistent, and it is not "get certified then find clients." It is: pick a narrow situation rather than a broad topic, write the buyer's own question back to them on the about page, put one finite thing a new member can complete in their first three weeks, and price it in the twenties or thirties so the decision is cheap. Our guides to niching down a Skool community, writing a Skool about page and pricing a Skool community work through each step.
Coaching is not therapy, and the distinction is not a formality. Relationship coaching is unregulated; psychotherapy is licensed, supervised and bound by a duty of care. If a member's situation involves abuse, coercive control, self harm or a mental health condition, it belongs with a qualified professional and, where there is danger, with a specialist domestic abuse service. Several rooms on this board state that boundary in their own copy. Any coach building in this field should state it too.
The second biggest gainer on the board is 62 days old
The Comeback, a trauma bond recovery community, ranked 8th with $12,383.50 and a thirty day change of plus $5,467.33, or plus 79.05%. That is the second largest dollar gain on the board, behind maxxxin at plus $5,604.50, and the fifth largest percentage move. Both of the two biggest dollar gainers are about two months old: maxxxin was created on 30 June 2026 and The Comeback on 6 July 2026. It was created on 6 July 2026, it has one admin, and at 9,546 it carried more listed traffic than either of the other two Relationships rooms we read that day.
Read the percentage carefully before drawing a lesson from it. It is measured against a prior figure of $6,916.17, and the four rooms that moved a larger percentage that month were all smaller still. Percentage growth on a young room is partly an artefact of where it started.
The dollars and the traffic are the parts that are not. Adding more revenue in thirty days than forty eight of the fifty rooms above and below it is not a base effect, and neither is carrying more listed traffic than rooms six ranks higher. Trauma bond and narcissistic abuse recovery are searched with urgency, at speed, by people who are not browsing, and choosing a problem people search at two in the morning is worth more than any pricing decision on this list. Our full breakdown of The Comeback covers what it is selling and what one admin can realistically hold.
Frequently asked questions
How much do relationship coaches make?
On measured platform data rather than self reported surveys, the fifty highest earning relationship and dating coaching communities on Skool collected a median of $4,196.75 a month each on 6 September 2026, with a mean of $7,485.40. The highest made $60,453.00 and the fiftieth made $1,682.92. These are gross community revenues before platform fees, tax, advertising and staff, and they exclude one to one client work, which for most coaches is the larger income.
How much do dating coaches charge?
On Skool, where coaching is sold as a monthly community membership, the three Relationships rooms we read on 6 September 2026 published $19, $27 and $35 a month. We did not read the remaining forty seven prices on the board. One to one dating coaching sold outside a community platform is priced completely differently, usually as a package of sessions running to four figures.
Is relationship coaching a good business?
It can be, and the distribution says most of it is small. Eleven of the top fifty communities in this category clear $10,000 a month gross and nineteen collect under $3,000. Three rooms take 28.1% of all the revenue on the board. Treat the leaders as outliers, read the median rather than the mean, and remember that community revenue is not personal income until fees, tax, advertising and staff have come out of it.
Do you need a qualification to be a relationship coach?
No. Relationship and dating coaching are unregulated in every major market, with no licence, register or mandatory training. Certification programmes exist and can be useful, but none is legally required and no platform verifies them. That absence is exactly why buyers should look at what is actually delivered rather than at claimed credentials, and why coaching must not be presented as therapy.
How long does it take to build a coaching community that earns?
Faster than most people expect at the small end and slowly at the large end. The second biggest gainer in this category on 6 September 2026 reached $12,383.50 a month in 62 days from launch, adding $5,467.33 in its most recent thirty days. The largest room on the board, at $60,453.00, is nearly five times that size, and we did not read its launch date. Reaching a few thousand a month is a matter of months for a well chosen niche; reaching the top of a category is a matter of years.
Where can I see what Skool communities actually earn?
Skool publishes monthly recurring revenue for ranked communities on its own public Games leaderboard, which is where every figure in this article comes from. Our guide to the Skool MRR leaderboard explains how to read it and what it does and does not include, and the highest earning Skool communities covers the top of the board across all categories rather than this one.
